Our third vintage of Petite Sirah after a 20-year hiatus matures from a small 3-acre plot in Calistoga. This wine captures everything we love about this varietal – power, finesse and character. The 2016 growing season started with a very early bud break due to continuation of the drought and a warm Spring. Ideal conditions helped the vines through bloom resulting in a balanced set, and the combination of modest yields and warmer growing season temperatures resulted in another historically early harvest.

“An intense bouquet of rose petal, currant, black raspberry and violet jumps from the glass. Youthful and exuberant, a core of crushed blackberries interwoven with cassis and lavender forms layers upon layers of complexity. Polished, velvety tannins highlight the silky finish, and the flavors will only evolve with time. Enchanting.” - Marbue Marke, Winemaker
